INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

If you are not a Canadian Citizen, you will need to have immigration papers/documents in order to work in Canada at Muskoka Woods. You can go about getting this in a few different ways:

  • You wish to stay in Canada for a longer period of time, and either work or travel before and/or after your employment at Muskoka Woods. In order to do this, you would need to apply for a working holiday visa or become part of the Student Work Abroad Program. This is a process that you would do on your own, it is not dependent upon information from Muskoka Woods.
  • You wish to work for Muskoka Woods for a season or two, then you plan to return home. In this case, you may apply for a Charitable Workers Work Permit. Once you have successfully been offered a job with Muskoka Woods, you will be provided with the necessary paperwork.
**Important note:
Due to the length of time it takes to complete all of these steps, your application must be submitted 12 weeks BEFORE your contract date would begin. Please see Employment Dates.

In order to be considered for a job at Muskoka Woods, you need to apply online at www.muskokawoods.com/apply. If all 3 of your references are in and you haven't heard from us, please notify us via email. As an international applicant, you will be interviewed via skype or over the phone.

**Payroll Policy:
Once hired, international staff will be considered employees and must obtain a S.I.N. and complete a TD1 Tax Form to determine their status in Canada for tax purposes.
