KEEPING CONNECTED

MW believes that our CEO Leadership Program is only one aspect of the leadership journey. We are committed to providing an opportunity to continue learning after the summer ends. This involves evening activities, ongoing connection with staff, a weekend retreat at Muskoka Woods and a service trip over March Break.

CEO SERVE TEAM
At MW, our hope and desire is to inspire youth to shape their world. We believe in extending past the borders of our communities and that sharing our lives and experiences with others can impact not only those we encounter and serve but also ourselves. We want to give our CEO alumni the challenge, experience and opportunity to serve in a way where they see an impact on their world.

During March Break we take a team of CEO’s to New Orleans. Last year, CEO’s had the opportunity to run a daily program at a Kids Club, aid in yard clean up, build a ramp for a neighbour who could not enter her home, visit the elderly in a nursing home and serve the homeless. The CEO’s were able to take on a new challenge, gain memorable experiences and seize an opportunity to help shape their world.

“Being able to teach these children from New Orleans about hope and inspiring them to shape their world and follow their dreams, will always be one of my most treasured memories. I made many new friends, got to travel to a place I have never been before and came back much more appreciative and grateful”
-Lexie Strahan

“This trip was one of the most exciting experiences of my life. I learned so many things about the city, the people, and myself. I felt so privileged to have the chance to do the things we did. I recommend this trip to anyone who wants to gain life-long friendships and experience the amazing feeling you get from helping people who need and appreciate it. I know I will never forget this trip.”
