Our Summer Story
The Muskoka Woods story started with a family. John and Marie Boddy were a mother and father who had a vision for their children that included the sons and daughters of other parents.
They desired to create a place where young people could have first time experiences that were fun.
From its beginning in 1979, Muskoka Woods was marked with adventure and excellence. It was a place to experience creation, have lots of program choices, meet new friends and explore beliefs.
As Christian parents, the “Boddy Vision” was to create a place for everyone. They believed that wholesome environments and fun experiences were the best way to demonstrate their love for God and service to families.
The imagination and generous spirit that birthed Muskoka Woods lives on. Every summer approximately 5000 guests come with their expectations. With very few exceptions, they head home excited about coming back next year.
The Muskoka Woods commitment to parents continues to offer a safe place – with sizzle that offers new challenges and fun experiences that create memories that last a lifetime.
